THE HAT EARNERS SOCIETY
Matt Wynn released his single 'The Hat' back in July 2026. This song was written based on a cowboy but is really about authenticity and being true to who you are and what you do. So we created 'The Hat Earners Society' in order to honor someone who has "Earned The Hat" at every tour stop & show that we play, big, small, public or private.
We take nominations and pick someone in that community who has made a real difference. Whether they are a First Responder, Military/Veteran, Cowboy, Mom, Dad, Teacher, Preacher, or anything in between, this song and recognition is for folks who have "Earned The Hat". We pull a person up on stage before we play 'The Hat' to recognize them and induct them into The Hat Earners Society with a signed, numbered 'The Hat' hat and signed handwritten lyrics of 'The Hat'. A few people have also been selected to "Earn the Hat" by conversation with Artist Matt Wynn and by our teams discretion.
If Matt is playing in your area and there is someone you'd like to honor or nominate to become part of The Hat Earners Society , please reach out to our team by email, katie@mattwynnmusic.com to nominate people in your community and tell us why you think they've earned The Hat!
